Elmhurst students enjoyed great success at the Cecchetti Competition which took place at Sadler's Wells Theatre over the weekend of 19-20 November.
Vocational students studying the Cecchetti method at Intermediate level and above can participate in one or both of the Awards. Candidates for both awards take part in the same adjudicated class on stage; whilst those wishing to be considered for the Barbara Geoghegan Award go on to perform their choice of classical variation.
Takeshi Watanabe was awarded the Fewster Cecchetti Scholarship and the Barbara Geoghegan Award. Miles Gilliver was runner up for the Barbara Geoghegan Award. Joe Taylor received a special mention in the Barbara Geoghegen Award.
