Girls - leotard (sleeveless), light-coloured tights and ballet shoes
Boys - tights, white T-shirt and ballet shoes

Portrait of face, full-length shots of figure in all positions in bare feet as in application form.

Barre work – 10 minutes maximum to include:
Pliés – demi and full in 1st, 2nd and 5th positions and to include ports de bras (cambré) forward, back and sideways
Tendus en croix
Ronds de jambe à terre
Adage to include développé en croix
Grand battements en croix
Centre work –15 minutes maximum to include:
Pirouettes – single or double en dehors and en dedans
Adage simple – to include développé devant, à la seconde and arabesque
Allegro – 3 enchaînements to include :
1. Sautés in 1st, 2nd and 4th positions
2. A simple assemble and jeté combination
3. Grand allegro (big jumps) combination showing dance quality
Splits with right and left leg in front
Pointe work (girls only) – 5 minutes (if taught) showing:
Rises and relevés in 1st, 2nd and 5th positions
Tour en l’air (boys only – if taught)
Single or double right and left
