How to apply for full-time ballet training

All potential students must audition for a place. Auditions are held in Birmingham on specified dates during the autumn and winter terms (Audition dates). However, Elmhurst is happy to consider talented possible students outside the formal audition period; if you would like to be considered, please contact the Registrar.

Some auditions are undertaken overseas. Arrangements can be made for overseas students to submit a prescribed audition videotape or DVD; download details of what is required here: Year 7 entry; Years 8-11 entry; Sixth Form entry.

The current application forms and prospectus are downloadable in PDF format below.

Students offered a place at Elmhurst, who have been resident in the UK for the previous three years, may be eligible for financial assistance through the DfES Music and Dance Scheme. This covers all, or a proportion of the fees, on a sliding scale based on parental income. British and other European students may be eligible for a Dance and Drama Award to defray the expenses of the Sixth Form three-year vocational course.

In 2006, as part of our endeavour to reduce our carbon footprint, we made the decision to stop producing our printed prospectus in favour of this on-line version. Please e-mail KateHowells@brb.org.uk if you would like to comment on this decision.
