Elmhurst students excel in RAD exams

Elmhurst students have, once again, received outstanding results in their Royal Academy of Dance examinations. During this academic year we have entered 99 candidates across all vocational levels, male and female from Intermediate Foundation to Advanced

2 and gained 100% distinctions across the board. Ryan Felix now in our first year of Sixth Form won the prestigious Phylis Bedells Bursary Award. As well as the accolade, this competition carries a significant monetary prize which can be used towards various aspects of further training.

Our female candidate Georgia Smart received a personal commendation from the judges.

In June, seven candidates entered for the Solo Seal Award. We are extremely pleased to announce that three Elmhurst students were awarded their Solo Seal. This is a long-standing award in the history of RAD examinations competitions and awards – it is aimed at dancers at pre-professional level and acknowledges work that is presented with the highest levels of technique, artistry and performance across two contrasting solos and the Genée port de bras.

In Cecchetti Advanced 1 examinations, our female and male students achieved 100% pass rates with 100% Distinction for Men and 80% Distinction, 10% Merit and 10% Pass for Women.
