Elmhurst Ballet School is a highly successful vocational dance school based one mile from the city centre in Edgbaston. In 2015 Elmhurst was judged by ISI to be Excellent in all areas and Exceptional in ballet.
For January 2019 (or sooner if possible) the school is seeking to recruit a part-time SEN Lead – Administration and Student Support. Elmhurst is academically non-selective but has excellent levels of student achievement. Students are taught in classes of around 25 at KS3, with small option groups at KS4 and KS5. The majority of students board at the school with a small number of day students.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a school that is highly successful where students have a desire to learn. Applications are welcome from qualified SEN practitioners and/or those that have relevant experience within the role, notably with writing IEP’s and preparing exam access arrangements.
10 – 12 hours per week (term-time only) – the distribution of the hours across the week is negotiable.
