Saturday Classes for Younger Children

Elmhurst offers Saturday classes for eight to 11 year olds in Birmingham, Manchester, Sunderland and Plymouth. These classes are designed to give children with a love of dance an opportunity to learn from teachers experienced in the Elmhurst style.

The auditions are open to children with no formal movement teaching as well as those already taking dance lessons**.

To apply (audition dates are listed below when available), please complete and submit the appropriate application form and information as listed below.

Saturday classes in Manchester, Sunderland or Plymouth - Application Form, together with photographs of the applicant in the positions on this downloadable sheet; girls should wear a leotard with bare legs and feet, boys should wear shorts and fitted t-shirt with bare legs and feet.

The charge for Saturday classes is currently £8.50, and there is an auditon fee of £15, however no talented child will be excluded because of financial constraints; please contact Elmhurst if you have any questions.


** Children already taking dance classes will be accepted onto the Saturday programme only with the consent of their current teacher.

Manchester: 28 April, The Dancehouse, 10 Oxford Road Manchester M1 5QA; between 2.00-5.00pm
Plymouth: 12 May*, TR2, Rehearsal Room 1, 12 Neptune Park. Cattedown, Plymouth PL4 0SJ; between 2.30-5.30pm
Birmingham: 12 May (Yrs 5 & 6)
