Skaters' summer school 2010

NISA is extremely pleased to announce a joint initiative with Elmhurst School for Dance in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet. Following a series of discussions between our two organizations, which have been led by Robin Cousins MBE, we can now confirm that NISA will be hosting a residential week-long course based at Elmhurst’s excellent facilities and a nearby ice rink in Birmingham. The week will commence on 15 August 2010 and finish on Friday 20 August 2010.

This is a fabulous opportunity for our skating members to work alongside not only the tutors but also members of the Birmingham Royal Ballet. More details will follow as the programme is developed. There will be a mix of dance/ballet training, choreography, skating skills and fitness/stamina training. The course will also be open to NISA licensed coaches however, coaches will not be offered residential status through the week, they will need to make their own arrangements in local hotels. All skaters will be housed within the residential accommodation at the school.

This announcement is for information only at this stage and for individuals to register interest with NISA and to put the date in your diaries. if you are interested at this early stage, please register by e-mailing Keith Horton.
