Development Assistant

52 weeks, not term time only

Elmhurst Ballet School is a world-leader in ballet training and education, inspiring nurturing and celebrating young ballet dancers with the talent, commitment and passion to become exceptional dance professionals. Elite but not elitist, we believe that talent is classless and our exceptional training opportunities should be available to young people regardless of their financial, social or cultural backgrounds.

Our expert staff deliver elite training in state-of-the-art facilities, an experience enriched by our highly-esteemed association with Birmingham Royal Ballet. Our Development team plays an important role within this structure, in marketing, communication and fundraising for the School, and developing stakeholder relationships.

A new role of Development Assistant has been created to support the work of the Development team. Reporting to the Head of Development and Engagement and working closely with external specialists, the role of Development Assistant is varied with responsibility for developing and maintaining the School’s communication channels, copy writing for multiple audiences, coordinating advertising and print, maintaining the CRM systems, organising events and supporting the team as required.

Ideally you will have sound communication and event organisational skills, with a high standard of English grammar and attention to detail. You will have an aptitude for and interest in social media and ICT systems and be a team player with a flexible approach to your work.  An interest in ballet and education would be an advantage, as would photography skills.
