Elmhurst in Association with Birmingham Royal Ballet is a world renowned centre of excellence for the training and education of ballet dancers. Students are equipped with the skills, resilience and creativity to succeed and make a difference in the professional dance world and beyond.
Born on the Wirral, James Barton started dancing at the age of three and studied at Elmhurst School
for Dance. As a student, performed with Birmingham Royal Ballet in Beauty and the Beast, The Nutcracker,
Romeo and Juliet, The Rite of Spring, The Lady and the Fool and
Hobson's Choice. He joined
Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2006 and was promoted to First Artist in 2011.
