Key Stage 3
Key Stage 3 covers the first three years (Years 7-9) students spend at the school. All students study English, Modern Foreign Languages, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, PSHE, Religious Education, Art, Drama and Music.
The following statements have been produced by subject leaders and set out the skills that will be taught, and hopefully learnt, over the course of each of the three years of study in Key Stage 3. It is against these statements of skills that students are judged in their interim and full reports. You may find, for example, a sentence on a report that reads "(Name) is meeting the expected standard in Year 7 English." This means the student has met the
teacher's expectations in that subject area at that point in their academic studies. These statements will also be reproduced on the student's full report so that parents will be able to see easily what the comments on that report relate to.
