Part-time – 14 hours per week
Term time only – 35 week per year
£7,500 (actual salary)
Elmhurst Ballet School is a world-leader in ballet training and education, inspiring nurturing and celebrating young ballet dancers with the talent, commitment and passion to become exceptional dance professionals. We offer a strong academic education to all of our students to complement and enrich our vocational dance training, and to help develop well-rounded and versatile students.
We are currently recruiting for a part-time Laboratory Technician to provide technical support to the small science department, contributing to
students' learning experience by assisting with the preparation of materials and apparatus for practical work, innovating and creating new equipment
Applicants would benefit from relevant previous experience and familiarity with the handling of chemicals and scientific equipment along with a good understanding of laboratory safety.
The preparation and trialling of GCSE science and A’ Level Biology practical’s comprises a core part of this role and experience would be preferable, but not essential.
Applicants would also be required to keep stock checks, place orders for chemicals, equipment and stationery and take care of deliveries and invoices as well as keep departmental financial records.
This post is part-time (14 hours per week) and term-time only.
Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 12 noon (may need to be flexible).
